Celem projektu jest ochrona, zachowanie oraz upowszechnianie dziedzictwa wsi opolskiej
w Aglomeracji i regionie opolskim.
Spichlerz wpisany jest do rejestru zabytków województwa opolskiego. Zabytek stanowi własność Gminy Walce. Obiekt pochodzi z pierwszej połowy XIX wieku. Jest unikalnym na Opolszczyźnie przykładem spichrza kamiennego. Zachował oryginalne rozwiązania budowlane i konstrukcyjne. Ze względu na te wybitne wartości architektoniczne, obiekt stanowi dobro kulturowe gminy i regionu.
Zagospodarowanie zabytkowego spichlerza w Brożcu polegało na przebudowie i rozbudowie istniejącego budynku oraz zmianie sposobu użytkowania pomieszczeń gospodarczych – przekształcenie na pomieszczenia muzealne.
W obiekcie zorganizowano Centrum Dziedzictwa Kulturowego i Turystycznego, w którym utworzono m.in. muzeum sprzętu rzemieślniczego i rolniczego (wystawa zabytkowych narzędzi rolniczych, gospodarstwa domowego, strojów ludowych). Prowadzone będą także zajęcia edukacyjne mające na celu popularyzację wiedzy o historii i kulturze ludowej Śląska Opolskiego z uwzględnieniem historii lokalnej obszaru gminy Walce, leżącej w granicach Aglomeracji Opolskiej.
W wyniku zrealizowanej inwestycji, budynek spichlerza dysponuje powierzchnią wystawienniczą wynoszącą ponad 500 m², gdzie możliwe jest organizowanie wystaw stałych i czasowych, koncertów czy imprez kulturalnych.
The aim of the project is to protect, preserve and popularize the heritage of the Opole countryside in the Agglomeration and the Opole region.
The granary is entered in the register of monuments of the Opolskie Voivodeship. The monument is the property of the Walce Commune. The building dates from the first half of the 19th century. It is a unique example of a stone granary in the Opole region. He kept the original building and construction solutions. Due to these outstanding architectural values, the building is a cultural asset of the commune and the region.
The development of the historic granary in Brożec consisted in the reconstruction and extension of the existing building and the change in the use of utility rooms – transformation into museum rooms.
The facility has a Cultural and Tourist Heritage Center, in which, among others, museum of handicraft and agricultural equipment (exhibition of antique agricultural tools, household appliances, folk costumes). Educational activities will also be conducted to popularize knowledge about the history and folk culture of Opole Silesia, taking into account the history of the local area of the Walce commune, lying within the borders of the Opole Agglomeration.
As a result of the investment, the granary building has an exhibition area of over 500 m², where it is possible to organize permanent and temporary exhibitions, concerts and cultural events.
