Celem projektu było utworzenie Centrum Przesiadkowego w Gogolinie. Powstało kompleksowe rozwiązanie na rzecz alternatyw dla transportu samochodowego i rozwoju ruchu pieszego i rowerowego.
Przedsięwzięcie polegało na przebudowie, rozbudowie i nadbudowie budynku dworca kolejowego z niezbędną wewnętrzną infrastrukturą techniczną oraz zagospodarowaniem terenu, położoną przy linii kolejowej nr E30, jednej z głównych trakcji komunikacyjnych w regionie.
Zmodernizowany budynek dworca kolejowego skupia w trzech częściach kilka funkcji. Przede wszystkim budynek służy osobom podróżującym liniami kolejowymi PKP oraz korzystającym z usług PKS, umożliwiając wygodne miejsce przesiadki, przechowalnię bagażu, kupno biletu oraz zintegrowaną informację pasażerską.
Przy Centrum Przesiadkowym powstała także zatoka autobusowa, parking dla taksówek, obiekt „parkuj i jedź” z 37 miejscami postojowymi oraz obiekt „Bike&Ride” z 66 miejscami dla rowerów i motorowerów.
Obiekt uwzględnia istniejącą infrastrukturę transportową, w celu ułatwienia swobodnego dojazdu na rowerze, m.in. z Krapkowic, zostało utworzone bezpośrednie połączenie Centrum Przesiadkowego ze ścieżką rowerową na terenie Krapkowic, w tym celu została wybudowana droga rowerowa.
The project aimed to create an interchange hub in Gogolin. It established a comprehensive solution for alternatives to road transport and promoted the development of pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
The project consisted of remodelling, expanding and building the superstructure of the railway station with the necessary internal technical infrastructure and land development, situated on the railway line No. E30, which is one of the main transport roads in the region.
The modernised railway station building serves several functions. First of all, the building is used by persons travelling by railway and bus to make a comfortable interchange, store luggage, buy a ticket and obtain integrated passenger information.
Next to the hub, there is a bus turnout, taxi parking, “Park and Ride” facility with 37 parking spaces and “Bike&Ride” facility with 66 places for bicycles and mopeds.
The hub takes into account the existing transport infrastructure. In order to facilitate unrestricted bike access from, for example, Krapkowice, segregated cycle facilities were built to allow a direct connection of the interchange hub and Krapkowice.
